​Mabonford Press was established in 2024 by N.C. McCarthy, though as an idea it has been in existence since 2020.

​

Taking its name from the autumn equinox, ​Mabonford came to signify all that was held in the imagination, and slowly, but surely, its name and landscape seeped into the founder's subsequent writings.​​

 

It was only upon the creation of his first collection, that Mabonford became not only a town, but the identity of this nascent publishing house.

​

Currently, it is run solely by the founder, with help from his loved ones, but Mabonford Press's books are written, edited and designed alone. 

​

Mabonford Press wishes to bring more attention to the short story genre, so in the future, you can enjoy more suites, variations, and movements, as well as a multiple chamber pieces, and a particularly special series of those wonderful bygone writings.
